Join us Saturday, September 18^th at 6:30pm and 8:00pm for an in-studio performance featuring CityDance Ensemble in highlights of the repertoire that include Lloyd Whitmore’s modern dance “Trying Times,” a jazz ballet to John Lennon’s “Give Peace a Chance” as well as new, original choreography to Delibes lyrical Opera “Lakme.”  Seating is extremely limited. Tickets are $15 each.  All proceeds directed to the educational fund of our recent graduate, Jane King, continuing her professional dance education at the Ailey Center in New York City.

In addition, $10 buys a chance to win four (4) tickets to Broadway Across America’s October 12^th performance of Dreamgirls.  Only 100 chances will be sold.

CityDance performs Carmen Suite, the dramatic ballet of Spanish heat and gypsy passion. A flamenco presentation, modern and jazz dance offerings and a recreation of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” complete the program. Performance is Saturday, May 22 at 8pm at the Pace Academy Performing Arts Center, 966 West Paces Ferry Road. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. CityDance will present the beloved Children’s ballet Peter & the Wolf. A cast entirely of children will perform Prokofiev’s playful classic which has delighted, inspired and cultivated a love of music in generations of children. Performance will be held Sunday, May 23 at 3pm at the Pace Academy Performing Arts Center, 966 West Paces Ferry Road. Tickets are $10 for children, $20 for adults. Recent Events
CITYDANCE ENSEMBLE will perform “The Lady Sings” this Thursday at the HIGH MUSEUM for "Salute to Women in Jazz" at Art in the City. The 25 minute jazz ballet will be performed at 6:00pm and again at 7:00pm in the main rotunda. The performance is free with museum entrance fee or membership. CityDance will perform “The Lady Sings” featuring the music of Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald. Bring your friends and enjoy a wonderful night at the High.

CityDance performed on Friday, November 23 at the HIGH MUSEUM. Our Cordão de Ouro presented a Capoeira demonstration on the lawn outside of the Stent Family Wing at 12:00 noon. At 4:00pm CityDance presented a modern dance and jazz dance in the Walter C. Hill Auditorium. These performances were free of charge.
